This year I didn't go anywhere near the sea so I had a lot of time in the afternoons, after work.
I caught up with a couple of series I've been wanting to see for some time, plus the fact that through the Chromecast now I can stream Prime Video too is awesome. (An update the app did the day after I got the Fire tv stick, so I sent it back because I didn't need it anymore).
Anyway, these are the series I watched.
Quest'anno non mi sono neanche avvicinata al mare, quindi ho avuto un sacco di tempo libero il pomeriggio, dopo il lavoro. Ho recuperato un paio di serie che volevo vedere da un pò, in più il fatto che ora con il Chromecast posso vedere anche Prime Video è fantastico. ( L'aggiornamento dell'app è stato fatto il giorno dopo l'arrivo del Fire tv stick, quindi l'ho reso perchè non mi serviva più).
Ecco le serie che ho guardato.
Fleabag started as a one woman show, written and played by Phoebe Waller-Bridge. She brought it to theatres and then she adapted it for tv and it was just the right thing to do.
It's the story of a 30 year old women, dealing with loss, a small business going nowhere, weird relationships, lots of sex and a strange family.
I came to the realization that there is a little bit of Fleabag in all of us, I'm not saying in which way, but even just a little feeling and you recognize yourself in her.
I just hope she will write more of it because it is just genius.
Fleabag inizia come un one woman show, scritto ed interpretato da Phoebe Waller-Bridge. L'ha portato in giro per i teatri poi l'ha adattato per la tv e non poteva fare cosa migliore.
E' la storia di una donna di 30 anni, che deve fare i conti con la perdita di un'amica, una piccola attività che non sta andando da nessuna parte, strane relazioni, un sacco di sesso ed una famiglia stramba.
Sono arrivata alla realizzazione che c'è un pò di Fleabag in ognuno di noi, non dico in quale modo, ma anche soltato in uno degli stati emotivi che lei ha provato e vi ci riconoscerete.
Spero solo che Phoebe scriva altro, perchè è davvero un genio.
I started watching this series a bit sceptical, because I'm a bit fed up will all these Grey's Anatomy and co kind of series, but it's actually really good. The first series was only 10 episodes, I think it was a bit of a test, if the public liked it. The second series has more episodes, the stories are a little bit more complex, both for the rescued and for the main characters story lines. I'm really loving it. I suggest it to all of you who love medical drama, crime drama and drama in general. Plus there's Angela Basset, who's amazing!
Ho iniziato a guardare questa serie un pò scetticamente, perchè sono un pò stufa di tutte le serie come Grey's Anatomy, ma in realtà è davvero bella. La prima serie è di soli 10 episodi, credo fosse un pochino un test, per vedere se al pubblico poteva piacere. La seconda ha più episodi, le storie sono leggermente più complesse, sia per chi viene salvato che per i personaggi principali. Mi sta piacendo molto. Ve la suggerisco caldamente se vi piacciono i medical drama, crime drama e i dramma in generale. In più c'è Angela Basset, che è semplicemente fantastica!
Chernobyl tells the story we all know with a lot more details in it. I wasn't born yet when the tragedy happened, but my mother told me all about it, so, in some ways, I still knew about it.
This series is based on the book Voices from Chernobyl, by Svetlana Alexievich, where she collected all the testimonials from more than 500 people, including firefighters and ordinary citizens.
I think the series has been well written, it's just a work of art for this age of tv series. It's a good way to teach all of young people who have never heard of it or that have never asked too much about it. This way we all know, and we can pass down the story to the future generations.
Chernobyl racconta la storia che tutti noi conosciamo, con molti dettagli in più. Quando accadde il disastro io non ero ancora nata, ma mia madre mi ha raccontato molto, e, in un certo senso, sapevo qualcosa. La serie è basata sul libro Preghiera per Chernobyl, di Svetlana Alexievich, dove ha collezionato le testimonianze di oltre 500 persone, tra le quali pompieri e cittadini comuni.
La serie è stata ben scritta, ed è in tutto un'opera d'arte per quest'epoca di grande importanza per le serie tv. E' di sicuro un bel modo per insegnare ai giovani di oggi e domani un fatto importante della storia internazionale.
VERONICA MARS season 4
Us Marshmallows, have been waiting for a new series for a long time, even before the movie came out 5 years ago. From the interview I saw, luckily the actors are REALLY happy to reprise their roles in this show, and most importantly Kristen Bell is because without her there's no Veronica Mars.
In this new season, we find an older Veronica, in a stable relationship with Logan for 5 years, taking care of her father and their business, dealing with a bomber in Neptune, who wants to ruin the city for Spring Breakers. That's all I'm going to say about it. I loved it, I hated it, it left me with my heartbroken.
Per noi Marshmallows, che abbiamo aspettato per un sacco di tempo, anche prima dell'uscita del film, 5 anni fa. Da quello che ho visto dalle interviste sembra che tutti gli attori fossero DAVVERO felici di riprendere i loro ruoli in questo show, soprattutto Kristen Bell, anche perchè, senza di lei non c'è Veronica Mars.
In questa stagione troviamo una Veronica più grande, in una relazione stabile da 5 anni con Logan, che si prende cura di suo padre e della loro attività , e ha a che fare con un serial bomber a Neptune, che vuole vuole rovinare la città come meta per lo Spring Break. Questo è tutto quello che dirò. L'ho amata, l'ho odiata, mi ha lasciato con il cuore a pezzi.
GOOD OMENS
Well, that has been the talk for months and I still haven't watched it. Plus I love Tennant, I've loved him as The Doctor (even if my favourite will always be Matt Smith), and I like Martin Sheen. The idea of good and evil working together is just a really cool idea and whatever comes out of Mr Gaiman's pen is just pure gold.
Beh, si è parlato di questa serie per mesi e io non l'avevo ancora vista. In più adoro Tennant, l'ho adorato come Dottore ( anche se il mio preferito saà sempre Matt Smith) e anche Martin Sheen mi piace molto. L'idea del bene e del male che lavorano insieme è fantastica e qualsiasi cosa esca dalla penna del sig. Gaiman è oro puro.
