Hey guys! Until January 7th at the Venaria Reale Royal Palace there was Santa's Village, and we've been planning to go there for months, but ended up going when it was almost closing. But these months have been crazy, and with things to do and sick people we never managed to go earlier.
Still, we went there and all the little houses/shops were closed but still really cute.
Ciao a tutti! Fino al 7 gennaio alla Reggia di Venaria Reale c'è stato il Villaggio di Babbo Natale, e noi pensavamo di andarci da mesi, ma alla fine siamo andati quando stava per chiudere. Ma questi mesi sono stati un pò pazzi, e con cose da fare e persone che stavano male non siamo mai riusciti ad andare prima. Ad ogni modo, siamo andati che tutte le casette/negozi erano chiusi ma era comunque molto carino.
Prima di tutto, si entra da un lato del palazzo e ci si trova nei giardini, che sono sempre bellissimi anche nelle giornate invernali. L'ingresso era libero per il giro nel villaggio e nei giardini.
At the center of the village you can find Santa's house/factory, and for that you have to pay a ticket, but let me tell you: totally worth it. There were some guys in the village working for a furniture shop and giving away some soccer balls, and of course my nephew had to try and win the big one. He didn't but got the smaller one and he was happy anyway.
Al centro del villaggio c'è la casa/fabbrica di giocattoli di Babbo Natale, e per entraci bisogna pagare il biglietto, ma lasciatemelo dire: ne vale assolutamente la pena. C'erano dei ragazzi che giravano del villaggio che lavorano per un negozio di arredamento e regalavano dei palloni da calcio, e ovviamente mio nipote ha dovuto provare a vedere se riusciva a vincere quello grosso. Ha vinto quello piccolo ma è stato felice comunque.
As soon as you enter Santa's house Elves will give kids a pointy hat and an other lady Elf started the tour showing us Santa's paints collection. I mean, did you know Santa worked already in the prehistory and had a bone as a septum piercing? Well, now you know too. :-)
Appena entrati nella casa di Babbo Natale ci sono degli Elfi che mettono dei cappelli a punta ai bimbi e poi c'è un'altra Elfa che fa un tour dei quadri di Babbo.Voglio dire, lo sapevate che Babbo Natale lavorava già nella preistoria e aveva un osso come piercing del setto nasale? Beh, ora lo sapete anche voi. :-)
When Santa's gallery tour finished, we ended up in the post office, where kids could write a thank you letter, and send it to him, also thanks to the Post Office Elves, and it was so cute and old fashioned.
Quando il tour della galleria di Babbo Natale è terminato, ci siamo ritrovati nell'ufficio postale, dove i bimbi potevano scrivere un messaggio di ringraziamento, e mandarlo a lui, anche grazie agli Elfi dell'Ufficio Postale, che era così carino e all'antica.
Then the factory tour started. We could see toys ready to go, and pieces of toys rolling around going to the assembly point, where Elves could assemble them and send it to kids. Other Elves where there wrapping gifts, at some point we even saw a scan, which was a bit creepy because it showed the bones into the toys, but only adults can find it creepy, the kids loved it.
E' iniziato poi il tour della fabbrica. Si possono vedere i giocattoli pronti alla partenza, e pezzi di giocattoli che girano per andare all'assemblaggio, dove gli Elfi li montavano e li mandavano ai bimbi. Altri Elfi erano nel mezzo della fabbrica e impacchettavano i regali, in un altro punto c'era uno scan, che era leggermente inquietante perché faceva sembrare che i giochi avessero le ossa, ma credo che solo gli adulti li trovino inquietanti, perchè ai bambini è piaciuto.
Then we found the Elves dormitory, and these bunk beds where so cute. Next to the bunk beds there were single beds where we could all sit and listen to a Elf that told stories, in Elf voice, which made me feel really sorry for him because that mustn't have been easy to talk like that.
Siamo poi arrivati al dormitorio degli Elfi, e questi letti a castello sono carinissimi. Vicino ai letti a castello c'erano dei letti singoli dove potevamo sederci e ascoltare un Elfo raccontare delle storie, con la voce da Elfo, e mi dispiaceva molto perchè non è facile parlare in quel modo.
We found the workshop were kids could do activities, listen to story and get an Elf make up done.
Abbiamo poi trovato il laboratorio dove i bimbi potevano fare delle attività , ascoltare storie e farsi truccare da Elfo.
Next was Santa's room/office. The first thing you can see is this giant bed with a giant teddy bear on top of it, a dummy with Santa's nightgown, Santa's desk, and we even found Santa himself, but the kids didn't want to take a picture with him. I can understand them. I used to cry when I was little and from what I saw on the internet that's a common thing for small children.
Andando avanti ci si ritrova nella camera/ufficio di Babbo Natale. La prima cosa che si vede è un letto gigante con un gigantesco orsacchiotto, un manichino con la camicia da notte di Babbo Natale, la sua scrivania e abbiamo trovato anche Babbo stesso, ma i bimbi non hanno voluto fare la foto con lui. Posso capirli. Anch'io piangevo come una matta quando ero piccola e da quello che ho visto in internet ho capito che è una cosa normale per i bimbi piccoli.
Then off to the stable, where we found the reindeers and Santa's sleigh, which was so cool because we all could go up and take a picture in it.
Dopo ci si ritrova nella stalla, dove ci sono le renne e la slitta, che è davvero bellissima

Next year I have to go earlier, to feel the Christmas vibe more. I'm still hoping they won't dismantle it,
that would be a shame. I'll let you know next year if it's still there.

Per l'anno prossimo ho già in programma di andare prima, in modo da sentire molto di più lo spirito Natalizio. Sto ancora sperando che non lo smantellino, perchè sarebbe davvero un peccato. Vi farò sapere l'anno prossimo.
