Hey friends! Going along the line of the previous post, I've been trying to clean and organize things, and one of the things I've been putting off was cleaning the kettle.
So this week I decided it was time, and here's how I did it.
Ciao amici! Continuando sulla linea del post precendete, sto continuando a pulire e organizzare, e una delle cose che avevo tralasciato per molto tempo è pulire il bollitore.
Quindi questa settimana ho deciso che fosse giunto il momento, ed ecco come ho fatto.
Take your kettle and fill half with water and half with white vinegar for 2/3 of the capacity of the kettle. Once filled put it back in its place and bring the water/vinegar mixture to a boil.
Prendete il bollitore e riempitelo per 2/3 con metà acqua e metà aceto bianco. Una volta riempito, rimettetelo al suo posto e portate il mix di acqua e aceto a bollore.
Once done, take the plug off, or if it is like mine and it has a dock, take it off and let it sit there for 15/20 minutes. After that time, wash it up really well, you wouldn't want your tea or coffee taste like vinegar 😝
If you wish you can also boil other water in the kettle if you still smell vinegar, but if you clean it well before it won't be necessary.
Una volta fatto, staccate la spina, o se avete il bollitore come il mio toglietelo dal suo dock, e lasciate la mistura agire ancora per 15/20 minuti. Dopodichè, lavatelo per bene, di sicuro non vorrete bere tè o caffè che sanno di aceto 😝
Se preferite potete far bollire nuovamente un pò d'acqua se sentite ancora odore di aceto, ma se lo lavate bene la prima volta non dovrebbe essere necessario.
There you go, your kettle is clean again and good to go. If you can, use filtered water for the kettle so it won't have much limestone in the next future.
