The other day I picked up an old notebook where I started drawing the stuff I wanted to make, and I thought it would be a great idea to get back to, so while going through it I found a little project I drew of this sewing kit.
L'altro giorno ho tirato fuori un piccolo notebook che usavo qualche anno fa dove disegnavo le cose che volevo creare, e pensavo che fosse una bella cosa alla quale tornare, e nel frattempo ho deciso di creare questo vecchio progettino di un kit per cucito.
This is was the general idea of it, but I ended up changing it a bit. I had some leftover cardboard so I made a mock-up size of it but in the end, I drew it on the folded felt, 10 cm x 10 cm, so that when it's open it measures 10cm x 20cm. I pinned it with some sewing clips to hold it while I cut it.
Questa era più o meno l'idea generale, ma l'ho cambiato un pochino alla fine. Avevo del cartoncino avanzato che ho usato per fare un modello ma alla fine, l'ho disegnato sul feltro piegato in due, 10cm x 10cm, così che aperto misuri 1'cm x 20cm. L'ho fermato con le clip per cucito che l'hanno tenuto fermo mentre tagliavo.
After that, I sort of positioned the pieces of felt that would hold my needles, pins, safety pins and scissors wherever I liked them better and sew them on. For the pocket, I cut a piece of an old piece of fabric I got at Ikea ages ago, 9cmx9cm, did a zig-zag stitch all around it so that it wouldn't fray later, and then sewed it on the felt.
As for the scissor holder, I cut two pieces of fabric to sew them to the little piece of felt, because, while trying to see if it would fit I noticed that the point of the scissors stuck to the felt, so I made a sort of a case between the felt pieces with the fabric.
Dopodichè, ho messo i pezzi di feltro che mi sarebbero serviti per gli aghi, spilli, spille da balia e forbici dove mi piaceva di più e li ho cucito. Per la tasca, ho tagliato un pezzo di una vecchia stoffa che avevo preso all'Ikea, 9cm x 9cm, fatto un punto zig-zag tutto intorno in modo che non si sfilacci, e poi l'ho cucito sul feltro.
Per quanto riguarda il porta forbici, ho tagliato due pezzetti di stoffa da cucire con un pezzetto di feltro, perchè, mentre stavo provando se la misura giusta ho notato che si impigliavano, quindi ho fatto una specie di custodia da inserire tra i pezzi di feltro.
And done! I made it a bit big so it's really not the best for travelling, but that's one of my next projects and maybe try to see if I can sell some. Would you be interested?!

E fatto! L'ho fatto un pò grosso, quindi non va esattamente bene per portarlo in viaggio, ma potrebbe essere uno dei miei prossimi progetti e magari vedere se riesco a venderne qualcuno. Sareste interessati?!
