DIY DECORATIVE JEANS POCKET

Hey friends! Happy Monday! My day started with me waking up a bit earlier (but not much, even though I envy those girls that wake up at 5 a.m., but that's a topic for another time), I went to ship a book I sold on my DEPOP, did a little shopping for lunch, since I'll be alone today, and watched a couple of YOUTUBE videos (shoutout to Hermione Chantal and Carly Rowena) and now I'm here writing this post for you :-)

This is a DIY tryout, I wanted to copy something I found on Pinterest, but maybe I didn't have the right materials, so I kinda failed. Nevertheless, I wanted to share it with you, since it can become something decorative for your home.

La mia giornata è iniziata svegliandomi un pò prima (ma non troppo, anche se invidio quelle ragazze che riescono ad alzarsi alle 5 del mattino, ma è un argomento per un'altra volta), sono andata a spedire un libro che ho venduto sul mio DEPOP, fatto spese per pranzo, siccome oggi sarò sola, e ho guardato un paio di video su Youtube ( Hermione Chantal e Carly Rowena) e ora sono qui a scrivere questo post per voi :-)

Questa è una prova di un DIY, volevo riprodurre qualcosa che ho trovato su Pinterest, ma forse non avevo i materiali giusti, quindi in un certo senso ho fallito. Ma volevo comunque condividerlo con voi, siccome può diventare un modo carino per decorare casa.

The things I used are: an old pair of jeans, fabric scissors, measuring tape, thread, sewing machine (but you can handsew it if you want).

Ho usato: un paio di vecchi jeans, forbici per stoffa, metro, filo e macchina da cucire (ma potete anche farlo a mano).

I cut the end of one of the legs about 25 cm, folded it with the fold in the middle, pinned the end and the corners. After that, I sewed it and cut the excess fabric and turned it on the right way.

Ho tagliato il fondo di una gamba di circa 25 cm, l'ho piegata con la piega della cucitura in mezzo, messo gli spilli sul fondo e sugli angoli. Dopodichè, l'ho cucito e ho tagliato la stoffa in eccesso e l'ho girato dalla parte giusta.

I decided then to hem the top, but since it was really tight I couldn't sew it folded as you can see in the first photo, so I just left it with the raw edges, sewed a zig-zag stitch and cut the excess fabric.

Ho deciso poi di cucire l'orlo in alto, ma siccome era troppo stretto e non riuscivo a cucirlo piegato come nella prima foto, quindi l'ho lasciato così com'era, ho fatto un punto zig-zag e ho tagliato la stoffa in eccesso.

And here it is. Not quite what I expect to be, but I kinda like it. I still don't know where to put it, but for now, it can hold my reusable bottle on my desk. You can make it even bigger to hold stuff, maybe products, in your bathroom, but to keep it all in order.

Ed eccolo qui. Non è esattamente quello che volevo, ma mi piace. Non so ancora dove metterlo, ma per ora può stare sulla scrivania a tenere la mia bottiglia riutilizzabile. Lo potete fare anche più grande se volete per contenere oggetti, magari dei prodotti, in bagno, per tenere tutto in ordine.
